KINDERGARTEN:
Clicker Training Basics Level I
- For dogs 12+ weeks
- Wednesday nights from 6:15pm-7:15pm

Join me as we progress through a 7-week Introductory Clicker Training program focused on manners and basic dog training exercises using positive reinforcement. The clicker is a small hand-held device that is used a communication tool which creates a strong bond between the dog and the handler.
Dogs benefit by learning to think and having their lives enriched. People benefit by gaining insight into the inner workings of the dog’s mind. We begin to understand what the dog is thinking and why they behave as they do; thereby giving us the skills to be flexible and the ability to adapt quickly to our dog’s progress.
Dogs will be taught to pay attention to the handler; to sit, down, and stand; to stay; to come when called; and to walk on a loose leash. Handlers will learn how to effectively use the clicker; what to reinforce; and gain basic understanding of how dogs learn.
ORIENTATION: ALL HANDLERS are required to attend - NO DOGS

NEED:
- A 6 foot nylon leash, flat buckle well-fitted collar or harness, and LOTS of rewards (treats, dinner, toy (no squeaker etc.). Special items (toys, mats, etc) may be requested at the end of each session for the following session
- A clicker is included in this package – required every class
- Vaccination records are required

MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Clicker Training Basics Level II

- Prerequisite: Kindergarten
Join me as we progress through a 6-week Level II Clicker Training program focused on 'The 3 D's' (Distance, Duration & Distraction) along with furthering our targeting and shaping skills and building on the basic dog training exercises we practiced in KINDERGARTEN.
Middle School is all about your dog’s education, and encouraging them to expand their minds. All programs and classes are Positive Reinforcement Based.
Dogs will be taught to get in; to move; to touch and target; down-stay; sit-stay; and to HEEL on a loose leash.
NEED:

- A clicker is NOT included in this package – but is required every class
