It’s never too early to start training and we’re here to help guide you every step of the way!
The first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are critical for socialization and new positive experiences. What your puppy learns during this stage will likely shape behaviour for the rest of his or her life so it is important to start on the path to success. Proper early socialization is key for having a confident, friendly, well-adjusted companion.
PupFIT-Foundations™ consists of four 60-minute specialty classes which will help with the development of cognitive, motor, and social skills all while strengthening your puppy’s bond with you! We cover important topics such as potty training, crate training, jumping, barking, chewing and nipping along with providing you with a foundation in humane, cruelty-free training methods. We empower you as your puppy's guardian to become the best advocate for them to promote a long, happy, healthy life.
Requirements:
*Puppies STARTING this program should be between 8 and 12 weeks of age (we will take puppies up to 16 weeks old).
*16 weeks and older puppies should start in FIT-Foundations™ Level 1 (check out our new C.L.A.S.S. for Puppies!)
*Puppies are able to start class 10 days AFTER receiving their 1st round of vaccinations.
Your puppy should have a recent exam by a veterinarian, be current on vaccinations (DHPP/DHLPP) and be disease/parasite free.
* We must be kept up-to-date throughout the session as new vaccinations occur.
*Ideally commence and conclude your program such that your puppy graduates by 16 weeks of age - starting and ending earlier is always better!
PupFIT-Foundations™ is designed to facilitate socialization, address normal puppy behaviours, and prevent the development of behaviour problems. PupFIT-Foundations™ is not designed to treat serious behaviour problems (such as aggression, anxiety, or extreme fear).
