LEASH MANNERS I
Does your dog pull or have poor leash manners? Is your dog a social butterfly; interested in everyone and everything except for you?
Do you dream of calm, peaceful walks with your dog by your side? Then this one-hour introductory class is for you! You will learn loose-leash walking skills and how to be a good advocate for your dog. Your dog will learn good leash manners and why staying by your side is to their benefit.
​No previous classes, experience or lessons required.
REQUIRED:
*Current Vaccinations with registration
*5-6ft nylon leash (no chain or retractable leashes)
*Harness with front/back attachment preferred (examples: Balance Harness True-Fit Smart Dog Walking Harness)
*A well-fitted flat buckle collar is acceptable
*A treat pouch (example)
*Plenty of TINY high-value food rewards (bring more than you think!)
*A hungry dog (don't feed within 4 hours)
*No aversive equipment or methods
*No aggressive dogs
*Space is limited to 6. Location will be confirmed in advance of class.

LEASH MANNERS II
Once you've completed LEASH MANNERS I, come and sharpen your team's skills in this one-hour follow-up class!
This class is for teams who have a good loose-leash foundation and manners. We will work on walking with more distractions which requires more focus. We will introduce SIT-STAY as well as the beginning stages of a great RECALL.
