Disengagement Games & Skills is a skills-based class designed to help dogs develop the abilities they need to succeed in real-world environments.
Through structured games and setups, dogs build skills for specific challenges such as seeing other dogs, people, movement, food, or environmental change. These games develop a dog’s ability to manage arousal, shift focus, and move away when needed, so they can be more successful in those situations when they occur.
The emphasis is on building clarity, emotional regulation, and confidence ahead of time, rather than reacting in the moment. Skills are practiced in ways that transfer directly to walks, visitors, busy environments, and everyday life.
