One Smart Cookie Canine & Companion Training Services offers the most FLEXIBLE positive reinforcement group training classes available!
LEVELS is SKILL-BASED allowing dog-handler teams to progress at their own pace.
LEVELS offers UNLIMITED training sessions during the period you are enrolled.
With our EXCLUSIVE MEMBERSHIP/PUNCH-PASS system, you can come to our classes as often as you like for as long as you'd like.
Get as much or as little training as you want or need based on your own expectations and goals. Some of our students come as often as 3x per week!
Move through all FOUR LEVELS or choose to stay at a lower level.
The choice is yours!
PREREQUISITE: Prior to participating in a LEVELS class, all handlers must attend a LEVELS ORIENTATION. We currently have two options available:

LEVEL I: STARTING OUT
LEVEL I introduces the basic cues SIT, DOWN, STAND, FOCUS, and the NAME GAME. We'll also work on solutions for unwanted behaviors such as jumping, play-biting and housetraining problems. All dogs (even those with prior training) start in LEVEL I.
Requirements to move to LEVEL II:
- Dog can SIT, DOWN and STAND on cue
- Dog readily responds to his name with mild distractions
- Mondays 6:30pm-7:15pm
- Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:15pm
- Saturdays 10:15am-11:00am
LEVEL II: MANNERS TRAINING
We'll work on walking politely on a loose leash (LLW) without pulling; paying attention to the owner while walking and ignoring other dogs; and we will begin working on COME and STAY as well as hind-end awareness. Introduction to Free-Shaping "Wipe Your Feet". LEVEL II includes problem-solving information for behaviors such as barking, digging, chewing, etc. Requirements to move to LEVEL III:
- Dog can walk nicely around the training area focusing on handler (no pulling) with other dogs 4-5 feet away
- Dog will come when called on leash with mild distractions
- Mondays 6:30pm-7:15pm
- Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:15pm
- Saturdays 10:15am-11:00am
LEVEL III: ADDING DISTRACTIONS
We'll work on a long-distance COME cue, STAY with distractions, loose-leash walking (LLW) past distractions, distance cues, and a variety of FUN & GAMES such as "Clean Up" (putting toys away!)
Requirements to move to LEVEL IV:
- Dog will stay for 30 seconds with mild distractions and handler standing on the leash
- Dog will heel past other dogs with leash over handler's shoulder
- Dog will come from 20 feet away with moderate distractions
- Mondays 6:30pm-7:15pm
- Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:15pm
- Saturdays 10:15am-11:00am
LEVEL IV: ADVANCED TRAINING
We'll work on polishing the COME cue and strengthen the STAY cue by teaching the dog to stay for longer periods of time at a greater distance from their handler. We will work on turns and automatic sit in heeling.
Plenty of FUN to be had!
LEVEL IV Goals:
- Dog can heel off-leash past other dogs and distractions
- Dog will stay 10 feet away from handler for 3 minutes with distractions
- Dog will come off leash past distractions from 30 feet away
- TBA
* For dogs 12 weeks and up
* 5-6' nylon leash and well-fitted flat buckle collar or harness (no flexi-leashes)
* Variety of rewards (lots of tiny pea-sized treats)
* Special equipment, toys, mats etc may be requested
* No averse methods
* Dog/people friendly dogs only (contact us if your dog is reactive or fearful)
* Copy of updated vaccinations required
* ALL handlers are required to attend an orientation without dogs

* Everyone starts in LEVEL I regardless of previous training; LEVELS is skill-based so teams will progress at their own pace
* All dogs must be leashed and provide at least 3' between dog/handler teams
* Classes will be held in the upstairs training room at Klassic Kennels (possibly outdoors depending on weather and distraction level required)

10 Punch Passes
Unlimited LEVELS clicker training for one dog for 10 sessions to be used within
3 months from date of purchase.
With regular attendance in class and some practice at home, dog/handler teams can expect to progress to LEVEL II and possibly LEVEL III.

Unlimited LEVELS clicker training for one dog for 20 sessions to be used within
6 months from date of purchase.
With regular attendance in class and some practice at home, dog/handler teams can expect to progress to LEVEL III and LEVEL IV in some cases.

Unlimited LEVELS clicker training for one dog for 30 sessions to be used within
9 months from date of purchase.
With regular attendance in class and some practice at home, dog/handler teams can expect to be working well in LEVEL III and many dogs will progress to LEVEL IV.
